Druglink is an established provider of drug & alcohol detoxification, rehabilitation, housing support and community-based interventions across Hertfordshire. We have an excellent reputation of providing high quality support and have maintained a ‘good’ CQC rating for the last nine years. Druglink sits on various boards across the county as a lead provider within the Drug & Alcohol sector, and we are commissioned for various projects. We have long-standing relationship with the local authority and commissioners not only within Hertfordshire but across the UK.

 

Oxygen Detox is Druglink’s medically monitored detoxification service, a seven bed Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service in Hertfordshire for both men and women, providing 24 hour care, seven days a week. Oxygen Detox is a stand-alone service, in a separate location to our residential rehabilitation or supported housing services.

At Oxygen Detox we provide a safe, recovery focused, therapeutic environment in which individuals can be assisted either to become abstinent, or to regain control of their problematic substance misuse. We have a full-time chef providing nutritious meals and there are medically trained nurses on site 24 hours a day.

People hoping to enter Oxygen Detox must be referred by community teams and will have engaged in preparation for admission. A robust aftercare plan will be agreed and in place for discharge, ensuring follow up services are available.

In addition to the medically monitored detox approach, the service provides:

  • A structured programme of group and individual psychotherapeutic interventions

  • 1-1 key working sessions

  • Counselling

  • A range of complimentary activities including auricular acupuncture

The programme is designed to help residents gain an understanding of their addictions and develop coping strategies to help them remain abstinent. People are encouraged and supported to take responsibility for all aspects of their lives, including; cooking, cleaning, laundry, financial budgeting and rebuilding family relationships.

Length of stay: Most detoxes are able to be completed in 10-14 days, however this can change depending on the duration of an individuals treatment plan, detoxification or stabilisation.
